Gain Real Community Experience
Student placements with African Youth Collective are designed to complement your studies while giving you exposure to real community programs and services.
Mental Health & Wellbeing
Support community-based mental health and wellbeing activities, wellbeing conversations, referral pathways, educational workshops and prevention initiatives.
Alcohol and Other Drugs
Assist with AOD awareness, harm-prevention initiatives, educational activities and community engagement designed to encourage healthier choices.
Youth Engagement
Work alongside young people through mentoring, recreational activities, leadership programs, community events and safe social spaces.
B-MAD Programs
Support our B-MAD – Beyond Mental-health Alcohol and Drugs initiatives, which combine connection, early intervention, recreation, mentoring, education and community engagement.
Food for Thought
Support community meal programs that use food as a way of creating connection, reducing isolation and opening conversations around wellbeing, support and community services.
Sport & Recreation
Assist with community basketball, soccer and other recreational activities that promote belonging, positive relationships and healthy lifestyles.
Community Outreach
Participate in engagement with young people, families, community organisations and service providers.
Program Development
Assist with program planning, research, community consultation, evaluation, administration and development of resources.
